Facebook its own country

Its official: Facebook has a population larger than some of the world’s biggest countries.

If the social networking behemoth were to be categorized as a country, it would have a population bigger than Japan, Nigeria and even Russia.

A Media Week report shows that Facebook has 150 million users and more than half of them use Facebook every day.

The company is also quick to point out that it reaches a cross section of society from grandparents to students, buggering the idea that some traditional marketeers hold that social media is only for young people.

The company is represented in every country in the world, including Antarctica. As scientist has recently found methane traces on Mars, expect Facebook to have a presence there very soon.
