AEROPLAN GIVING GIFTS FOR ITS BIRTHDAY

Aeroplan is taking off for a year of contests, special offers and limited edition gifts in celebration of its 25th anniversary.


To kick off the year-long festivities, the loyalty program has launched the “25 Day 250,000 Miles Giveaway” contest in partnership with its frequent flyer partner Air Canada.

Eligible Aeroplan members will automatically be entered into the contest for a chance to win every time they fly on a purchased or reward Air Canada ticket between Feb. 1 and 25.
Banners on the Air Canada and Aeroplan websites, along with e-mail blasts are promoting the contest.


“We are thrilled to be celebrating this important achievement with Aeroplan,” said Charles McKee, vice-president, marketing at Air Canada, in a release. “We want to thank our loyal customers for supporting this program throughout the years with an exciting contest that will see more than six million miles given away in the month of February.”

In addition to the contest, Aeroplan will also launch a special 25th anniversary edition of its branded content magazine, Aeroplan Arrival.


Other anniversary activities set to launch throughout the year include special gifts and exclusive reward travel packages available to current members only.

“The main objective of all this activities is to thank them [members] for their loyalty... and to provide them with extra special rewards or opportunities to accumulate rewards faster,” said Sylvie Bourget, senior vice-president, marketing and e-business, Aeroplan.
